Post subject: 85 kawi js550 starts for a second then dies

just getting my 85 js550 ready to go for the season but it wont start. when i first try it it fires up right away but then dies within a second or so and then wont start again. any ideas or input you can give would be appreciated.

96 SeaDoo GTX dies - I have a 96 Seadoo GTX that just goes dead when riding. The digital display blanks out and the engine dies. Wiggling the key has no effect. If I remove the key and replace it, everything comes on and I can start it. It doesn't seem to be speed related...
