It doesnt really turn over.
But it does turn over fine without the plugs in but hardly at all with them
in .

Should I try putting oil into the cylinders to try and loosen something up ?
... It's kind of depressing ..


Bought a new battery and it didn't get much better , I suspected a weak
starter ?

Is there any way to do a test on the starter ? can it be taken over to
Advance auto for a test ?
Can they hook it up to their load bench ? Actually.. I did that with the
guy .. I had freshly greased it and the guy put it up there and spun it up
and greased himself in the eye .. i fealt bad about that.

He still wantted to sell me a new one and of course they dont carry marine
at an auto store..

His beef was that , well I forgot... oh it was supposed to kick out quickly
and strongly and this one took more than an instant to kick the starter gear
out, so there for it must be weak.

Anyway, there must be some kind of load test that can be done ..

Maybe the motor is seized partially from having gotten water into the engine
area as there is a slight water leak in the hull drive shaft area.

I bought a 500gph bilge pump -- maybe i should hook it up with some kind of
switch so that water doesnt accumulate in the engine area. ..

Maybe it's time for a new'' (used) ski in that is less than 30 years old ?

You mean turns over easily with the plugs out using the starter or when
trying to turn it over by hand? You can't tell how easily something turns
over with a starter. You need to feel it.
