750 ZXI won't start...nothing at all??

I've had this ski for about two years, worked great until now. I took
it to the beach, worked great, but after i put it up- I went to flush
it out and it would crank intermittenly. At the time it seemed like the
stop switch was stuck, checked all the wires connections and nothing
out of order. I don't have the manual- so i'm kinda swimming upstream
now.
As of now, trying to start it, it's the same- turn it on...all lights
turn on, trim works just fine- but no sound whatsoever when trying to
start it?? any ideas other than paying a dealership too much money for
somthing simple- i hope????

Sounds like:
1. corrosion on the battery cables.
2. could be starter is starting to go out

thats where I'd start.
