11TH ANNUAL LB2CAT NOT AN IJSBA/APBA EVENT!

Got a call from the U.S Coast Guard this morning, saying that somebody
has been calling them to find out about our permit for the race and if
the permits were issued based on the race being sanctioned by either
the IJSBA or APBA. Whoever that person was, was told that the permits
were issued without reference to either IJSBA and/or APBA.

It seems that a couple of pages in our Long Beach "package" (which can
be downloaded), had a reference to either IJSBA and/or APBA.
This was in error because we used some of the same material from
previous years. We were contacted by Biorn at the IJSBA, we went back
and made sure that any reference to the IJSBA and/or APBA has been
removed from our website and from any of the mailers we've sent.

The 11th Annual Long Beach-2-Catalina & Back IS NOT AN IJSBA/APBA
EVENT! Any reference to that was purely accidental.

We look forward to a great event and seeing many of the racers who
will take the challenge for this great event.
